Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society
The Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society is a faith-based (Shī’a Ithnā ʿAsharī ) organisation working to meet the needs of the Scottish Shia Muslim community and the breadth of society in general across the cultural, social, political, and religious spectra. We work to engage with other communities and faiths; strengthening ties in an effort to create a setting for religious and racial harmony, equality, and diversity in the nation.
We interface with civil society and the third sector, academic institutions, diplomatic and governmental bodies, religious leaders, and exert efforts towards grassroots, communal faith and interfaith activities, philanthropic drives and campaigns in our partnerships with national and international healthcare charities and trusts to better the nation’s physical and mental well being – highlighting the messages of humanity and good will.

Children’s School
The Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society is proud to hold a weekend Shī’a Ithnā ʿAsharī English Islamic School. The educational institution came to fruition in 2013 with the requisite help and support of select community members who have selflessly directed their attention to educating the youth; an issue of prominent standing and importance. We aim to inculcate within those aged 5-17 an immediate and correct understanding of Islam so they may achieve success and salvation in this world and the world to come.
Qur’an Tafseer Classes
The Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society’s monthly Qur’anic Tafseer class. The classes, taken by the teacher and mentor Shiekh Muhammad Kassam’Ali, shall serve to re-enliven one’s relationship with the Holy Book that it may be discovered as something edifying and wondrous; housed within whose depths are lessons, guidance, and divine wisdom that steer us towards success in all matters.
